Directions

Place the corned beef into a 5 quart dutch oven and cover with water.

Add onions and garlic

Heat to boiling

Reduce heat

Cover and simmer until tender about 2 1/2 hours

Remove beef to warm oven

Place cabbage into the water

Heat to boiling and simmer until tender 15 to 30 minutes
